Enemy Within
Right now the fate of this country hangs in the balance. This is a unique time in history and the
decisions we make today will not only be felt by us but the generations that
follow. Today a war is being fought not
just between right and wrong, but more specifically is being fought between
good and evil. I’m convinced that
defining moments define real men and how we respond to the evil opposition that
this country is facing, right now, will define us. It will define us as a country and will
define us as individuals. It is the
individuals, not the damn politicians and their politically correct
generalizations, but you and I that will determine this country’s outcome. Our actions and our voices are the pistons
that are powering this nation’s engine and will create the momentum that will
lead us ultimately to victory. However,
our lack of action and our silence will lead ourselves and our country to
defeat. I’m convinced, as evil, as
murderous, and as dangerous as the Islamo-fascists are, and as much as they
relish in the killing of innocent civilians and our selfless, heroic troops
(whom they consider to be infidels that deserve death), the biggest threat to
our country dwells in our neighborhoods, classrooms, and workplaces. It is those that we see everyday who don’t
support our country, our troops, our leaders, and our inherent responsibility
to do what is right that are the enemies within our gates and pose the biggest
threat to our country’s downfall.
Today our country is wounded. There’s a gaping wound in our country’s morale
and conscience. Many of our wounds have
been inflicted by some of our very own still lurking amongst us at this very
moment. Enemies of our country, our
freedom, and our God given rights must be stopped. Our silence is not an effective
counteroffensive that many of us are hoping will work. It hasn’t worked before, it’s not working
now, and it won’t work tomorrow. You and
I that love this country and all that it has provided for us must defend it
because it has defended us. We must
defend it by standing up and speaking out.
I know a lot of us are afraid of confrontational situations, but the
fact of the matter is, today, tomorrow, and many days to come will be
confrontational. I know it’s not pleasant
but it’s far better than the alternative hell that we’ll all be experiencing if
we allow ourselves to be defeated. The
mounting pressures we’re feeling are the pressures of historical significance, potential
grave consequences, and the hopes and dreams of a free tomorrow. These
pressures will continue to bear down on us, growing increasingly heavier, until
the day we feel the relief of their removal.
That day will come when you and I courageously stand up and step out and
look those anti-American sons of bitches in their eyes and let them know their
words and their actions will never again be tolerated. I’ve realized this and acknowledged its
frightening truth. But more importantly
I’ve overcome my fear with inspiration and confidence because it’s inspiring to
know that this is the answer and knowing that victory is destined for me, for
you, and for this country is enough to instill confidence in any man.
Victory, in this arena, depends solely on me and you. The media in this country is a cesspool of
negativity and toxic pacifistic propaganda that’s overflowing from our
televisions, our radios, our magazines, our newspapers, and inevitably the
minds and mouths of our neighbors polluting our homes, our psyches, and most tragically
our children. Why? The unofficial spokesperson of this homespun
poisonous toxic waste is Hollywood. It baffles and infuriates me that actors and
rock stars have full sway over the national barometer tipping it one way or the
other at their discretion. It enrages me
knowing that these “political philosophers” who have a difficult enough time
memorizing their lines for another one of their cinematic disappointments can
influence the American people with ignorance, dishonesty, and disdain for
patriotism. It pisses me off that young,
rich, chubby, sports team owners with hair cuts performed by Super Clips
Academy dropouts that fund anti-American films with their dirty money and
filthy intentions can effectively contribute to the efforts of the traitors in
Hollywood to corrupt and to assist in the defeat of our great nation. Young goofy cinematic financiers should worry
about more important matters than terrorist warfare like hoisting the trophy
coveted by toe tapping manly men everywhere…the Dancing With The Stars medal of
honor. He may have a lot of money, but if
I could sachet up a flight of stairs like he can I sure as hell wouldn’t be
caught dead on a Stair master. I don’t
know if an Al-Qaeda terrorist would take pity on him or just be terrified. Hey, if it really does scare the terrorists
then maybe that could be America’s
next infantryman.
The bottom line here
is simple: just because a rock star or movie star, or politician for that
matter, has an opinion…it’s just that, an opinion. Question them, their opinions, and their line
of thinking. It’s not only smart, it’s
healthy. Looking at this from this
particular perspective, what they are doing by questioning today’s policies is
a smart and healthy thing. What’s
neither smart nor healthy about what they are doing is that many of their views
are unwarranted and extremely inaccurate.
And the major difference with Hollywood’s
inaccurate and unwarranted views is that they are very dangerous because of how
influential they are to America,
especially young Americans. Very few
Americans challenge or even question them.
Politicians do but very few young Americans ever hear a word a
politician says…and rightfully so. Many
of them bore me too. But before we can
properly and effectively question the views and opinions of Hollywood
or Washington, we must first and
foremost properly and effectively question ourselves. My own personal opinion is far more important
to me than any rock star’s, movie star’s, or politician’s. I know who I am, what I believe, why I
believe it, what I want to see accomplished, and where I want to see America
go. I don’t have all the answers but I’m
always on the look out for the questions I’ve yet to answer and I put an
incredible amount of effort and energy into finding their answers. I’m not going to sit back and let some movie
star, rock star, or politician tell me what I need, what I need to do, who it
is that I need to become, and what I need to believe. Hell no…over my dead body! Politicians and people of influence love the
lazy masses because the only thing they are good for is casting poorly thought
out votes that push them into office.
Stop being so damn lazy and think for a change and think for yourself.
-What do you believe?
-What’s important to you and why?
-What qualities should the person that represents you
possess and what values do they hold close to their hearts and push for their
protection and implementation?
-What pisses you off about what’s going on in this country
and the people who are leading it?
-What about this country instills a deep sense of pride
within you and why?
The questions you can pose to yourself are limitless but
make sure the questions you ask yourself are personal and your search for their
answers contain a sense of criticalness, persistence, and urgency.
No matter what, whether we like it or not, both the world
and all of us living in it are going to change.
That being the case, why not do all we can to ensure our changes are
productive and progressive ones? But
again, the only ones that can make that happen are you and me. Speak up, speak out, and talk about these
things with as many people as you can.
Remember, you won’t win them all and you won’t always have all the
answers. Big deal, you and I are in the
same boat and always will be. But don’t
let that intimidate you and allow the boldness of whom it is that you are and
your individual voice become so timid that it becomes silent. Losing arguments happens but always keeping
your mouth shut is unforgivable. Again,
the world’s going to change so how about you and I change it for the
better. I hope you do but if you choose
not to and choose instead to sit on your lazy ignorant butt that’s entirely up
to you. But if you do that don’t ever
utter one complaining word when things don’t go as you would’ve preferred
because you lost that right. Only those
of us that fight the battles that must be fought to protect the liberties
granted us by God have that right…because we earn them every day. So the choice is yours. I’ll look for you on the battlefield.
